The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales is looking at how social care services in Wales could be improved and wants to hear from older people across Wales about their experiences of receiving care and support. This could be support to live independently at home, support while living in a care home, or community-based support such as day centres.
The closing date for responses is 30 January.
Hywel Dda University Health Board are currently undertaking research in partnership with University of Wales Trinity Saint David ( UWTSD) to better understand the barriers people face around digital inclusion across our communities. Fishguard & Goodwick town Council have a vacancy for Town Councillor of Fishguard NW ward.
Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council are delighted to announce this years winner of the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition. Well done to Scarlet Meaney from Ysgol Glannau Gwaun and congratulations to all the finalists. There were some wonderful entries and our judges had a tough time picking the winner. All the finalist’s entries are displayed in the Town Council Meeting Room window at the Town Hall and will be there until the New Year.
Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council are saddened to announce the passing of Councillor Jordan Ryan, Town Councillor and County Councillor for Fishguard. Jordan was a Councillor for many years and served as Mayor of Fishguard and Goodwick for two terms from 2018 to 2020. Jordan was an active and passionate Councillor and was committed to the people of our towns, being our longest serving Councillor at this time. He will be sadly missed by all at Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council, and our thoughts are with his mum Mandy and the rest of his family at this time.
